We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer for a Power Plant in French Guiana. Your mission You will be the electrical commissioning engineer of DFDE (Dual Fuel Diesel Engine) at a thermal power plant in French Guiana from equipment receipt to final handover ensuring compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and contractual deadlines. Key Responsibilities Verify electrical installations schematics and specifications. Perform electrical connections, continuity, insulation, and functional tests on engines operating on HFO / LFO fuels. Configure and validate PLCs, protection relays, and supervision systems (SCADA, HMI). Coordinate with mechanical teams and suppliers for joint testing in a thermal power plant environment. Document commissioning activities: test reports, non-conformity logs, and commissioning certificates. Provide on-site technical support during warranty period if required. Required Profile Minimum 8 years’ experience in commissioning of Diesel Engines for power plant applications (energy, petrochemical, marine, etc.). Proven experience with Wärtsilä, MAN or Rolls-Royce DFDE engines, including HFO / LFO fuel systems. Strong knowledge of electrical standards (IEC, NF C 15-100, ATEX if applicable). Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams, PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, Allen Bradley), and diagnostic tools. Autonomous, detail-oriented, and able to work in demanding environments (tropical climate, remote sites). Valid driver’s license Fluent technical English.
